Our Purposes and Objectives
The purposes and objectives of this network are strongly related to the objectives of the ELCA Hunger Appeal, which are:
To help people help themselves through long-term development.
To provide hunger relief and disaster response.
To provide opportunities for hunger education and advocacy.
My spouse, Denny, and I co-chair the Sierra Pacific Synod of the ELCA Hunger Network. We are Christian anti-hunger activists, who believe Christ calls all Christians to work to end hunger in our time. We live in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and love to hike, mountain bike and back country ski.
